Can I leave the diapers reusable in sauce?
Do you also leave diapers, pads and clothes soaking in water for days on end?
Why did I fail you? Because I'm disgusted and I thought it was good to warn you about what I've seen on social media.
As usual, I often take a look at my favorite groups on facebook and the instagram accounts I like. I was surprised by the amount of moms who publish posts where they share advice from other moms and, even following this advice, they are having problems with smells in diapers and diaper rash in babies.
In summary, there are many people who advise leaving dirty diapers to soak until they are washed, others advise washing all the diapers by hand when taking them off and I even saw someone advise putting water in the diapers only with pee and leaving the excess water until they are washed. this all, in order to avoid stains and bad smells. WHAT!!!??
As a rule, I keep quiet, the confusion that goes in the posts is already too much.
But I'm not one to stay silent for long. My point of “That’s enough!” it was having seen girls - again - people advising, let the diapers soak for the stains to come out.
Enough! Just let everything soak!!
Well, I told you! If you read this, that's enough for me.
Relax, a stain is just a stain. The laundry is done. And if you put your diapers and pads in the sun, the stains will disappear.
Please do not soak your dirty diapers. I'm not the only one to point this out. But it is difficult to combat this trend, when there are several people who call themselves experts in the field to advise you to do so.
In 2012-2013, the recommendation was yes to let the diapers soak until washed, not now. Time passes, we learn and evolve for the better.
3 reasons to NEVER leave dirty reusable diapers soaking?
- Because fabrics in water for several days are spoiled. Do you leave your washed clothes inside the machine for several days? Certainly not.
- Diapers are dirty laundry with pee and poo. Many invisible creatures live in our body, some breed easily if they are in constant water;
- The smell of ammonia, pee, intensifies if you let the diapers soak for several days. And more in the summer.
