This absorbent is ready to use with your Grovia cover after the first wash. In other words, as the name implies, this Grovia soaker pad no prior preparation needed.

What do I mean by, no preparation needed before use? Absorbents made from natural fabrics need to be prepared, ie washed several times, to reach their maximum absorption capacity. If you don't, you could have leaks.

As an absorbent soaker pad No-Prep, it is Made with Grovia's patented microfiber, you only need to wash it once and it already has its maximum absorption capacity. If you prefer natural fabrics, check out the soaker pad on the cotton version.

The original name of this absorbent is Soaker Pad and it is Only compatible with Grovia covers.

Characteristics of the Grovia No-Prep Soaker Pad

To be used on Grovia covers as a two-piece system, or SIO (Snap in One):

  • Compatible with grovia cloak springs or velcro;
  • Made with four layers of microfiber toweling for high absorption during the day;
  • It has a double inner crotch and soft elastics, which prevent liquid poop from escaping to the cover;
  • Recommended size: 3.5 - 13+ kg.
  • For each layer you only need 3-4 pads, which makes this system an economical option

Mom tip?

This pad has a TPU layer underneath, which is great for not getting the cover wet. But, the TPU layer insulates the fabric and makes drying time consuming. To overcome this and speed up drying, turn the pad upside down.

Oh! This pad dries very fast, in summer you only need 2h!

What do I get when I buy the Grovia pad?

By purchasing this item you will receive a pack with two GroVia No-Prep Absorbents.

How to use this pad in a Grovia diaper cover?

This absorbent is simple to use:

  • Attach the absorbent to grovia cloak with the springs; The widest part is the tail area :)
  • In the next change, remove this absorbent and put on a clean one;
  • If you use reinforcement or liners, be careful that they are inside the absorbent and that there are no leaks to the cover
  • If the cover gets dirty with poop, everything goes in the wash! If it's just pee, you can reuse the cover up to 3-4 times before putting it in the wash;

How to wash reusable diapers?

Please check the manufacturer's label before washing the diapers.

  • Removes solids before washing;
  • Wash every 2-3 days in warm soapy water.
  • You can tumble dry at low temperature;
  • Do not use bleach, additives or fabric softeners.

As microfiber is a very absorbent fabric, you need to make sure they are being washed correctly using enough detergent and a thorough wash. If you experience an "unclean" smell, you can use non-chlorine bleach or an oxygen additive during the wash every 4-6 weeks. If you do, don't forget to do an extra rinse.
