When do you have your period do you get diaper rash? The solution is simple, use reusable pads or the menstrual cup.

It sounds complicated, but it's so simple that you just have to put the pads to wash in your washing machine together with your baby's towels, clothes or diapers.

I can tell you that since I stopped using disposable pads and tampons in 2011, I have never had vaginal infections and I stopped getting itchy. The diaper rash was right just after the second day of the period. If you're like me and need to use reusable pads for 4-5 days. Just thinking about using disposable pads puts you in psychological pain.

Below I explain how to care for your reusable sanitary napkins.

Here I explain briefly how to use your reusable cloth pads:

  • Wash your pads before first use;
  • Put the pad in your underwear and close the spring; Pads always have two springs to adjust to the width of your underwear;
  • Change the dressing every 2-6 hours as needed; If you have a lot of flow you need to change the pads more often;
  • When you have to change the reusable pad it's like the disposable ones. The difference is that instead of going to the trash, you put it in a waterproof bag or next to your dirty towels. Outside the house you can be with you a waterproof bag small to hold your dirty pads until you get home;

And just so you don't have skin problems, the pads are for personal use, they shouldn't be used by other people. If you're not the only person menstruating at home and using reusable pads, the trick is to use different pads. Each person can have a different color, pattern or even a brand.

How to wash reusable pads?

You can only wash your pads at the end of the period, try that they are not more than 3-4 days unwashed.

Please check the manufacturer's label before washing the diapers.
